If an image tells a thousand words,
a thousand images per minute can
move - inspire - shock - bewilder - uplift - influence - motivate
— all of which goes beyond the mere retelling of a story.
I am primarily attracted to projects which contain a strong personal element, whose story yearns to be told.
The magic happens when all creative elements are in service of the narrative (and not the other way round).
My motivation has always stemmed from a desire to create, an appreciation for design and aesthetics, tempered by a curiosity to learn and understand complex systems.
A marriage of the creative and the technical.
Artist and artisan.

DOUBLE HELIX
—
After many years of working in audio in various capacities, I inevitably discovered the magic of filmmaking and visual storytelling, and so began my obsession.
Cinematography quickly became my main focus, but I was similarly fascinated by the full production process, starting from the first words on a script, or scribbles on a storyboard, to the final finishing touches in the edit and mix phase.
Heavily influenced and always guided by an innate sense of aesthetics, design, and harmony
Often taking inspiration from light, movement and forms in nature
Sound is at the heart of my work - an appreciation of its fundamental importance, which goes beyond a mere supporting role to the image.
Rather, it elevates, lends credibility, and draws the viewer in to the experience.
